I'm not sure why I landed on this post tonight...synchronicity I suppose. I just posted something similar on m blog. My son is four and I am really struggling with the holding on and letting go. This piece had me in tears, because, it's exactly the thing I've been fretting about. Reading this helps though.

I remember reading this for you before... and it made me tear up again reading it for the second time.

I am currently working on an anti-aging potion for my kids. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I'm glad you posted this. I hope you never feel like you have to justify your current career choice again. My family is my BEST and MOST important project! Another thing... my mom is a retired elementary school principal and a mother of grown children. She still doesn't know what she wants to do when she grows up ;o)

I AM WITH YOU!!!! I am definitely a paper planner girl too. I'm actually switching right now into a 16-mo. planner to take me through 2010 so it's a bit awkward right now...but by tomorrow I think I'll be good to go!

Hmmm, that all sounds very familiar. 3 times in my 4.5 years in NY I have had someone calling to collect a debt. Luckily, the true debtor has a different middle name and I am exonerated from owing oodles of money from when I was 2.

That Mom! Too cute, Janine. Honestly, I would have bought ONE of those pictures just to capture what a precious train wreck he was. It totally reminded me of Helen William's Xmas picture when Katie was about 1 or 2 yrs old. Did you get that one? Priceless! I think you're a great mom with a great sense of humor with it. Not many people can juggle what you've got up in the air at once! Plus I think there are so many moms that are more focused on how they look from the outside than focused on their own family. Keep it up, girlie! Btw... we need to get together again soon. We pack up in Mid July ;o(
